Alpin Film Festival is an international cultural event dedicated to the film, book and photography, who aims to promote mountain civilization through its heritage values, touristic, ecology, economic, educational and sports. From 2020, Alpin Film Festival is part of the prestigious International Alliance for Mountain Film (IAMF), next to others 27 of film events in 20 of countries on five continents.
The film "In the name of the earth", nominated to Oscar awards 2024 and the exhibition about the Tatra Mountains "nature and culture: Mountains that inspire ”are the polish elements of this year's Alpin Film Festival program. The film "In the name of the earth" (2023, 114 min., regia: Dorota Kobiel Welchman, Hugh Welchman can be watched on 19 September, from 19.30 at Cinema One in Brasov (free entry).
The exhibition "nature and culture: Mountains that inspire ”made by the Tatra Museum from Zakopane in collaboration with the County Museum of History Brasov will be presented in the period: 18 September-31 October in Piata Sfatului Brasov; 20 September-31 October at the Bran National Museum.
