Consulate of Poland in Brasov had the official opening on 29 March 2019 in the Square Market,Nr1.

Consulate of the Republic of Poland,will have jurisdiction in 8 counties:
Arges, Braşov, Buzau, Covasna, Dambovita, Prahova, Sibiu and Valcea and will be led by the Honorary Consul, Janusz Szalinski.

the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Romania , dl Marcin Wilczek, was present at the inauguration of the Consulate, accompanied by senior members of the Polish Parliament, and officials of Municipalities, Prefectures, County councils attached to our consulate.

The inauguration of the Consulate was accompanied by the opening of the exhibition “Polish-Romanian Relations during the inter-war period”. Exhibition dedicated to the common romanian-polish history of the period 1919-1939, exhibition that included images of the mentioned period, including, King Ferdinand and Queen Mary's visit to Warsaw and Marshal Jozef Pilsudski in Bucharest and Sinaia or official visit of the President of Poland, Moscicki, in Romania.

With us were representatives of the Polish military contingent IV Craiova. Poland, participating in Craiova with 225 soldiers and 47 technical means and are affiliated with 26 infantry battalion “Neagoe Basarab” Craiova within the Multinational Brigade Southeast, the duration of a rotation in Romania, for each contingent being of approximately six months. Polish contingent is part of the joint initiative, with the mission to help ensure a strengthened presence in Southeast Alliance, in accordance with the measures taken at the Summit 2016 in Warsaw.

The event ended with an extraordinary fanfare concert, offered by the Military Music Orchestra of the Air Force Academy “Henri Coanda” Hall from Brașov.
