The program is addressed to students in the field of polish language, polish culture and knowledge about Poland, to the winners and finalists of the polish literature and language Olympiad organized outside Poland and to scientists from foreign universities and scientific institutions.
NAWA Students, during some partial studies (one or two semesters) or full-time studies in Poland can develop their polish interests by improving their polish language skills, attend lectures and classes in accordance with the selected study program, they can use the resources of university libraries and archives, and can carry out scientific projects and conduct research. Interested students can choose the University they intend to study. Chosen field of study should be in accordance with the study program carried out at the home university. The applicant must obtain the consent of the selected university to undertake studies and to accept the study program submitted. The studies are conducted in polish language.
Scientists from foreign academic and research centers, can carry out research projects lasting from 3 to 12 months at polish universities and scientific institutions, whose objective are, among others things, to carry out scientific research (including in cooperation with polish scientists), obtaining materials for research or scientific publications, postdoctoral internship, conducting courses at the reception center, intensive learning of the polish language. During the recruitment process, applicants must submit an invitation from the host center, confirming their willingness to accept a NAWA scholarship holder.
The purpose of the program is to promote polish in the world, allowing foreigners interested in polish culture to study or to carry out research projects in Poland.
