The stage with the number 1000 from the history of the men's ski jumping World Cup, started in the season 1977-1978 will take place in România, to Râșnov, resort that will host for the first time in the period 20-22 February, the most important men's competition for the best skiers in the world for a whole season.
At Râșnov stages , scheduled on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 February, with qualifying session on Thursday, 20 February, announced their presence 60 jumpers from 17 countries, ahead of the current leader of the , Austrian World Cup Stefan Kraft, leading in the ranking with 1.273 points, but also the leader of the Tournament of the 4 trampolines, the polish Dawid Kubacki, ranked 4 th in the overall World Cup standings.
Based on ski jumping Valley Charcoal Burners following nations will be hoisted flags: Poland, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Norway, Austria, Russia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Ukraine, United States and Romania.
The entrance of the spectators is free, City Hall Râşnov providing regular buses, from the city center (Amza Pellea cinema ) to the base of Cărbunarii Valley, every 30 minutes.
the Consulate of the Republic of Poland in Brașov, supported, promoted and participated in this event by the presence of the honorary consul, Mr. Janusz Szalinski, this having a successful collaboration with the entire polish team participating,but also with their supporters. In order to support the polish team at the World Ski Championship in Râșnov, the members of the polish VI Contingent from Craiova were also present.
