Capella Cracoviensis concert in Brasov


Capella Cracoviensis, is a professional music ensemble and a mixed symphonic choir based in Krakow, Poland. It was founded in 1970, by the initiative of Krakow Philharmonic director at that time, Jerzy Katlewicz. The mission to create, near Philharmonic, an ensemble specializing in early music was entrusted to Stanisław Gałoński(its first director).

Over the years, Capella Cracoviensis became a set independently, and since 2008, the general and artistic director is Jan Tomasz Adamus .

Capella Cracoviensis is specializes in early music, renaissance polyphony, polish baroque and classical chamber music sung on vintage instruments , oratories and operatic, including works by Mozart.

The headquarters of the Orchestra is the historical Hall of the Krakow Philharmonic. Due to the shows held in several world famous venues confirmed its status as being one of the most outstanding ensembles of instruments in Poland .

The event will take place Tuesday, 24 September, from 18.00, Black Church in Brasov (Court Honterus No. 2). Based access ticket – 12 lei, which can be purchased at the church entrance.

Visit of the representative of the polish LOT airline's company from Romania and Moldova in Brasov

Monday , 16 sept.2019, a meeting was held between Mr. Honorary Consul of Poland in Brasov, Mr. Janusz Szalinski, General Manager of the polish airline LOT from Romania+ Moldova, Mr. Jakub Malecki and representatives of the Brasov County Council, led by Mr. President, Adrian Vestea.

The discussions were mainly about the possibility by a future introduction of polish LOT airline at the airport in Brasov, this will be an connecting bridge on the touristic plan, economic, but not only between Poland and Brasov.

With this occasion, Mr. Jakub Malecki, wanted to visit as well the place where will be built the airport in Brasov, this being at the moment in an advanced stage of execution,it will be completed in 2021, as said by representatives of Brasov County Council.

We would like to mention that the polish are in the 3 rd place as the number of tourists in Brasov, the city representing a major tourist attraction for them and their number is growing from year to year.

Also, polish investments in Brasov are in 7th place in the top of foreign investors, and in Romania this means over 500 million euros, the interest being increasing for the Romanian market.

Filmul ‘Aborted Mission’ Stories Film Festival and Rasnov

At the Rasnov,Film and History Festival this year,,on 25 th of July, at the Amza Pellea Cinema,, the film 'Aborted Mission' was screened in the presence of the polish director Petro Aleksowski and Honorary Consul of Poland in Brasov, Mr. Janusz Szalinski. The film tells the story of everyday life of two soldiers who become disabled during their mission in Afghanistan. After losing his arm at 27 years, Tomek, now an orphan, daily proves its value that has, treating it as a new challenge and dreaming that can fight in a match kick-boxing. Franek, the age 45 years, who lost his leg, posttraumatic stress syndrome and lives for the sake of children.

Film and History Festival in Râşnov (FTIR) appeared in 2009 from the desire to capitalize on an important chapter of local and world cinema, but also from the need to produce in the romanian public space discussions about themes whose temporal impact exceeds the ephemerity of the moment..

Transfer of authority of the Polish Military Contingent

Wednesday, 24 th of July, took place ceremony for the transfer of authority of polish military contingents , the rotation of the rotation IV and V of. Polish contingent is part of a joint initiative, whose mission is to help ensure this strengthened Southeastern Alliance, in accordance with the measures taken within NATO Summit in Warsaw 2016. Polish soldiers are affiliated Battalion 26 Infantry "Neagoe" within the Multinational Brigade South East, Craiova with participating in military exercises.

The event that marked the return of authority between the two groups attended Polish military officials from the Ministry of National Defense, representatives of the Polish Armed Forces Operational Command and local public administration, polish ambassador to Romania, Marcin Wilczek, and honorary consul of Poland in Brasov, Mr. Janusz Szalinski, accompanied by his family. During the ceremony hymns of Romania, Poland and NATO were sung, and the commanders of the two Polish contingent and handed, on the knees, flag of their country.

Opening edition 2019 International courses “Nicolae Titulescu” for young diplomats

On July 20th, romanian, foreign and representatives of local and county authorities, attended a service at the tomb of illustrious Romanian diplomat Nicolae Titulescu, from the Church of St. Nicholas, in Schei. It was actually the starting point of international courses “Nicolae Titulescu "for young diplomats, taking place, for a week, in Poiana Brasov.

Courses for young diplomats are, this year, at the 28th edition. They started in 1991, initiated by the Foreign Ministry, as a tribute to the work of the great diplomat and state man, Nicolae Titulescu.

 At the ceremony attended by Monica Gheorghiţă, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, who pointed out that it is the duty of today's people to cherish, but also to entrust to the young generation the ideas of the great diplomat Nicolae Titulescu. As a tribute, appreciation and respect for the great diplomat, Mr. Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Brasov, Mr. Janusz Szalinski.

At Feldioara Mayor's invitation, Ing. Sorin Taus, Mr. Honorary Polish Consul, Janusz Szaliński, accompanied by his wife and son, honored by attending the first official visit in Feldioara Fortress – Marienburg.

The discussions were in principle related to the presentation of the fortress and the vision of the projects that will come to life in Feldioara with the initiation and development of the partnership between the Feldioara community and the Polish one, the city Malbork, where the Teutonic Knights were installed with leaving the country Barsa, in XIII century.

Royal evening dedicated to the Republic of Poland

Wednesday, 12 June 2019, her Majesty, Custodian of the Crown of Romania, Princess Margaret, hosted at Elizabeth Palace,an evening dedicated to Poland , on the occasion of the centenary of diplomatic relations between Romania and Poland, set out in 9/22 February 1919, under the reign of King Ferdinand I and Marshal Józef Klemens Pilsudski Presidency.

The event was attended by His Excellency Mr. Marcin Wilczek, Ambassador of Poland to Bucharest, together with diplomats and collaborators of the Embassy, Polish members of the business community in Bucharest and countrywide, officers of the Polish Army who are in involved in various co-operation missions with the Ministry of National Defense, as well as personalities from Romanian political world.

Royal Family had, over the last hundred years, made an important contribution to deepening our cooperation in the, military, diplomatic, educational, economic and political fields.

Poland opens first consulate in Romania, in Brasov

Brasov will host the first consulate of Poland in Romania, which will be officially opened on 29 March.

The announcement was made by His Excellency Marcin Wilczek, Ambassador of Poland to Bucharest, that yesterday was his first official visit to Brasov.
During this visit, Ambassador has met with the mayor of Brasov, George Scripcaru, Brasov County Council, Adrian Veștea, and Prefect Marian Rasaliu, and Speaker of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Brasov, Silviu Costea. In Poland, Romania already has three functional consulates.

Consulate of Poland in Brasov will be in the Square Market and will be led by Janusz Szalinski, a Polish entrepreneur who does business in Brasov, Ambassador Marcin Wilczek announced. "We consider two criteria when we chose our first city to open consulate in Romania. We wanted to be a major city, and secondly, We wanted to have the right candidate to lead. These two things we found in Brasov "said His Excellency Marcin Wilczek, who noted that opening of the first Polish consulate in Romania marks several important events in the history of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
