The 16th edition of an event has already become a tradition in Solonețu Nou, Harvest Festival, started on Saturday at time 16.00. As same as always, it was an explosion of joy, of colors, Polish traditional music, in which both people from Bucovina participated, but also guests from Poland and the country. The guests arrived at the church from Solonețu Nou with carts flanked by horsemen, and the parish priest Stanislav Cucharec greeted them with bread and salt. The liturgy followed, officiated by several priests, led by Bishop Wieslaw Lechowicz, Delegate of the Polish Episcopal Conference for the Pastoral Care of Polish Emigrants and Iosif Păuleț, bishop of Iasi. At the end of the liturgy, the people headed for the Dom Polski headquarters, where they attended an artistic program offered by the ensembles "Solonczanka", from Solonețu Nou, “Mala Pojana”, from Poiana Micului, but also by the popular children's group "Kozinianie", from the Polish commune of Mucharz, locality twinned with the Humor Monastery.

Among the guests who arrived in Solonețu Nou were the soldiers of the ninth exchange from the contingent stationed in Craiova, led by Major Robert Andrzejak. Among those who accepted the invitation to participate in this year's edition of the Road Festival event were the prefect of Suceava, Iulian Cimpoeșu, the mayor of Cacica, Petru Todosi, but also the mayor of the Humor Monastery, Viorel Croitoru. On the date of 13 August 2021, in the Battalion barracks 26 "Red Scorpions" infantry from Craiova, the transfer of authority ceremony between the 8th and 9th rotations of the Polish Military Contingent took place.

Responsibilities of Major Wojciech Kufliński, Commander of the 8th rotation, were taken over by Major Robert Andrzejak. The 9th rotation of the Polish Military Contingent will fulfill its duties in Romania until February 2022.

The celebration began with the arrival of the commanders, acceptance and teaching of responsibilities. Polish flags were raised, romania, NATO and the anthems sung. The responsible commander greeted the invited guests, including the Polish ambassador to Romania – for Maciej Lang – and the honorary consul – Mr. Janusz Szaliński de la Brașov. Also, the ceremony was attended by the military defense attaché, atașatul naval, air attachment – Jerzy Jankowski and the commander of the Multinational Brigade - Colonel Constantin Nicolaescu, as well as the local authorities in the city of Craiova, where Polish soldiers are stationed.

After welcoming guests, in the presence of an honorary assistant, the handover ceremony followed. The commander who testifies – Major Wojciech Kufliński and the receiving Major – Robert Andrzejak kissed the national flag with the emblem of the Republic of Poland on the tree and then reported to the superior of passage and assumption the duties of the commander of the Polish military contingent in Romania.
