Brasov will host the first consulate of Poland in Romania, which will be officially opened on 29 March.
The announcement was made by His Excellency Marcin Wilczek, Ambassador of Poland to Bucharest, that yesterday was his first official visit to Brasov.
During this visit, Ambassador has met with the mayor of Brasov, George Scripcaru, Brasov County Council, Adrian Veștea, and Prefect Marian Rasaliu, and Speaker of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Brasov, Silviu Costea. In Poland, Romania already has three functional consulates.
Consulate of Poland in Brasov will be in the Square Market and will be led by Janusz Szalinski, a Polish entrepreneur who does business in Brasov, Ambassador Marcin Wilczek announced. "We consider two criteria when we chose our first city to open consulate in Romania. We wanted to be a major city, and secondly, We wanted to have the right candidate to lead.
